First live gig @ StuΔio's new space
For the past year, the music collective that we're part of is trying to form its new space, a basement on the center of Athens. After a huge amount of work, the collective had its first gathering there two weeks ago. An open conversation regarding the self organized music scene, its dynamics, problems, impact etc. It was a really successful one, cause of the warm atmosphere and all the interesting thoughts expressed.
So, two weeks after the official openning of the space, here we are having our first live gig there. With our great friends Kalpa and Face Repeat. Unfortunately, Animal Nun couldn't be with us due to a sickness, and without him we lost a ton of harsh, harsh noise. But even so, this night was intense and loud. Kalpa were terrific despite the technical problems. A big shoutout to Face Repeat, for this was their first live appearance! And they were fucking amazing. When it comes to us, we had a great time. All these times of stress and anxiety regarding the setup of this gig were worth of what happened yesterday night.
A huge thanks to everyone that helped for this to be real and everyone that was there yesterday and supported us!
May all our nights were like this one.
BAND-AID ON A BULLET WOUND
The world is on a downward spiral and the brakes are cut loose. We'd like to think that this album is much more than just music to us. But after all it's just a band-aid on the wound inflicted.
Thanks to all the people that's in our lives and contributed to this album. Special thanks to Ypoga K94 and StuΔio crews for all the support and Geraniou & Kalamida studios for the recording equipment. Much love to Panos, Asklipios and Giorgis for the times we spent together in the recording and mixing of this album and to Linen for all the drawings and sketches.

Last Friday
That was all for this gig. It really is a bliss setting and playing gigs with all these great people. Much love to all the bands and the people from the union. DIY is not about just playing music whenever and wherever you want. It's the relationships that you built along the way and all the things that you share.
TOUROVER...
Three beautiful days came to an end the past Sunday evening. We knew that it all would be fine, but it turned as a great experience. 2 bands, a renting van loaded with amps and a desire to play as loud and intense it can be. Nothing can go wrong with that.
So we started from Athens and the first stop was Larisa and the Antidrastirio Squat, a basement inside the campus where lots of political groups and assemblies find shelter. A really important space for the status of greek county.
Lots of friendly faces, but also new people that we're happy we met! Gig was great and we sure gonna come back anytime soon!
The next day, after a stroll in the city we headed to Thessaloniki and AKI (the self organized space of medical school). Gig started around 12 o'clock with Grauh. They were one of the best bands we've ever experienced live in our scene. Their album is pretty great, but the live experience was something else. Real Post Hardcore to the bone.
Then we played and we had a wonderful time and then Kalpa played and they demolished eveything. Absolutely crushing. Last but not least, Juju Bruju, these wonderful kids, closed this heart warming night. The mathy explosions, the fucked up melodies, the screams, the singing all sounded so sweet and destructive in our ears.
It was easily one the of the best gigs we were part of and we want to thank all the people of Noise Dysphoria, especially Georgia, who pretty much set it up and the bands, for being so nice.
So the other day, with a few hours of sleep, we begun the trip of return to Athens and Prapopoulou Squat. There our friend Christos A.K.A Animal Nun joined us and we finally got to play together. Kalpa started the night with their devastating set and in no time it was our turn to play. We were really worried that we would sound like shit but we couldn't play better! The night closed with Animal Nun playing an incredibly loud noise wall set that was fucking cathartic. A shoutout and lots of kisses to all the Pull The Plug guys!
We want to thank everyone involved these three days, all the people that let us sleep in their houses, especially Kostas, our longtime friend, all the people we met and acquainted, all the squats, self organized spaces and the bands that we shared the gigs with and finally Kalpa, our fellow travellers. Days like these will be remembered.
Mini Tour with Kalpa
Tomorrow we're getting in a van with our friends Kalpa for three loud and exhausting days. First stop's gonna be Larisa, first time for us, at Antidrastirio Squat by Studio Σπιρτόκουτο with Ανυπακοή. Next day we'll arrive at Thessaloniki and the Self Organized Space of Medical School, in a gig organized by Noise Disphoria along with Grauh and Juju Bruju. Then we're heading back to Athens and Prapopoulou Squat with the mighty Animal Nun, as the people of Pull The Plug set up!
We're really looking forward to be in places we haven't been before with bands we haven't played with!
See you somewhere out there.

Shockratessss
Last Saturday was soooo good. It's always a bliss playing in a crowded small place, especially when there are bands like Alzalam and Dead Elephant. It was the first time that we shared a gig with Alzalam and it happened to be the day that they released their first album, which is great btw. Dead Elephant nearly demolished the whole studio with their Unholy Blackened Sludge, as they always do to be honest.
A big thanks to all the people from Shockrates 26.1, especially Kostas, the sound guy, who was really helpful! They really do a great job maintaining a place like that in the center of this damned city.
To the next one.
27/1/2024 Shockrates 26.1
It's been a long time since we've played a gig and today is the day! Along with our great friends Dead Elephant and Alzalam we're taking over Shockrates 26.1, a self organized studio in the mean streets of Omonoia Square.
Show starts at 21:00.
Be there and bring your earplugs, unless you want deaf.
A late comment
About a month ago we played on this gig and we hadn't said anything about it here, noone knows why.
This was an utterly beautiful moment and as we always keep saying every after every gig we play, it was fucking intense. It's not about the intensity of the music itself, but that of the whole atmosphere.
The musical course of this gig was totally paranoid. The turn the bands played was defined by draw so you can imagine there was no coherence and that was great.
There were a lot of people that came and supported the cause and in no time the place was crowded.
Solidarity is our only weapon and when things like this one take place, with terms like these, this weapon can be so powerful.
We don't need no scumbag promoter, no gig specialists, no sponsorships. We are eveything we have and we are there for our people.
Til the next one.

Most of the bands and the people surrounding the this gig come from other self organized studios, DIY music groups and squats suchs as Papoutsadiko Squat, Calamida, Ypoga K94, Stu2io, Geraniou's self organized studio and in general from the political DIY movement.

ΤεραΤρόηρα
Past weekend ΤεραΤρόηρα happened and we were a part of it. As we said, we stepped on a bus along with 30 people and travelled to Karditsa, which was as an experience pretty unique.
It was raining heavily all evening and all night, so the gig took place inside. That turned out to be the best decision, because people were literally tangled with the bands. All bands played a sick set and all the people were great.
A huge thanks to Christos, for being a great person, for the invitation, the hospitality, the great sound and much more. Also thanks to Thanos and everyone from Karditsa's self organized space and everyone that came and supported this try. Last lots of kisses to the bands and the people that we played and travelled together.
To the next one.

ΤεραΤρόηρα DIY FEST
These ventures are a sample of us organising our lives and our expression together, without anyone giving orders or making profit of it. This is beyond music and its consumption, it's our proposal of how and with what terms we want to live.
And we should make our proposals dangerous and uncomfortable again for all the settled.
Some words for the last two gigs
Thessaloniki's show was great and all three bands created a really intense atmosphere. Despite the gig starting around midnight or having less than 25 people we didn't really care.
Tzitzifrikia started playing and it was so loud and emotional, but at the same time joyful and the Comfort came and they demolished everything with their glitchy and dancy tunes.
Then Sunday came and it was time for the StuΔio funding gig. Unfortunately, Tote Kinder couldn't play because of some medical issues and we replaced them. As always it was a really beautiful scenery, seeing a university yard full of amps and woofers and people having a good time. As far away as we can from bodyguards, entrace fees, racial, gender or any discriminations.
So the gig started and we played and we had a great time. And then Les Βίαιες started playing and our heads just exploded. Loud, sometimes fast, sometimes mid-paced and full of anger feminist punk. One of the best bands and people that we played together for sure.
Comfort played last and it was pretty much the same with their previous one. Everyone was screaming and dancing and banging their heads along with them.
A weekend full of noise as we said, and we do hope so that these things will going to be happening frequently. Because that stuff can give you a purpose in these shitty times.

A Weekend full of noise
This Friday we are heading to Thessaloniki for a gig along with our long time friends Tzitzifrikia and the amazing Comfort from Glasgow!
Comfort are on tour and Sotiris and Marina from Tzitzifrikia convinced to stay in Greece for a week, so we managed to organize this show and another one in Sunday by the StuΔio Collective with Les Βίαιες (Queer Punk from Athens) and Tote Kinder (Industrial/Noise Rock from Athens)
Thessaloniki's gig will take place at Lula's Trashyard at 22:00.
Athens' one will take place at Panteio University at 19:00.
StuΔio Mixtape Vol I Release Show
It was a night dedicated to prove there's no musical boundaries when it comes to companioship in the DIY culture. A night full of rap, noisy synths, angular guitars, screams, singing and jamming.
Much love to all that contributed, Ypoga K94 crew, Powerap Girlz and all the people that helped us carry all of our equipment back!
